Edna Parker, the world’s oldest person 2008, has died. Edna Parker was 115 when hse passed away on Wed., Nov. 26. Parker died in a nursing home. Edna Parker died when she was 115 years and 220 days old.

Edna Parker was born on Apr. 20, 1893, in Indiana. Parker has been recognized by Guiness World Records as the world’s oldest person. One person, who was born 4 months earlier than her, and older, was Yone Minagawa. Minagawa died in Aug. 14, 2007. Since the death of Minagawa, Edna Parker took over the title of the oldest person alive. There is a nice biography at the link on Edna Parker.
