Edgar Platino, 27 was arrested and charged with first degree murder, on Tuesday, July 29, 2008. Edgar Platino is suspected of murdering Army Spc. Megan L. Touma. Edgar Platino was charged in Raleigh, North Carolina. Edgar Platino was stationed at Fort Bragg.

Megan L. Touma was found dead and decomposed in a bath tub in a motel in Fayettevilleon June 21 2008. Megan L. Touma was found after her motel room was opened in spite of a “Do Not Disturb” sign outside her door.
Megan L. Touma was a dental specialist from Cold Spring, Ky. Megan L. Touma was carrying her baby, who was 7 months old. Megan L. Touma had returned to the US from Germany. Megan L. Touma was divorced from her husband. Megan L. Touma’s cause of death was not released to the media. The motive behind her killing was not made known.
