Ed Jagels Witch Hunt: Ed Jagels Witch Hunt
By Therese Lisieux on April 13th, 2009Ed Jagels, Bakersfield’s chief prosecutor took office in 1983, was accused of running a campaign to convict child molesters. Sometimes, Jagels had no evidence but the suspects and accused were convicted and sent to prison. There were allegations that Jagels, though his workers, intimidated witnesses and coached them on what to say. The article that detailed Jagels work is here.
Sean Penn produced and narrated the documentary, “Witch Hunt”, to record and present a view of the events that looked like Jagels was on a witch hunt for child molesters. You have to read the details to form your conclusions on Jagels and the alleged convicted criminals.
The Innocence Project, a group of attorneys, worked hard to exonerate victims of wrongful convictions. It is due to efforts of supporters for justice that Jagels was exposed.

Jagels should have been prosecuted and disbarred years ago. He is a criminal who doesn’t uphold the rule of law but trashes it. The California Bar Association by taking no action are culpable themselves in letting this disusting person still be a lawyer.
