Dylan Ratigan: Where is Dylan Ratigan now (photo)
By Clarencia Cynrae on March 28th, 2009Dylan Ratigan was caught on tape ranting and raving at his producer, Susan Krakower. Ratigan and Krakower had created “Fast Money” together.
Recently, Ratigan and Krakower were in the studio when Ratigan flared up over a disagreement with Krakower. She allegedly wanted Ratigan to read emails on air. Ratigan told Krakower to pull him off the show if she wanted to.
Ratigan’s tirade against Krakower was caught on tape as the cameras remained turned on even when the show went for a commercial.
Rumors said Friday, March 27, is Ratigan’s last day on “Fast Money”. Ratigan’s contract will expire next Wed., April 1, 2009.

I miss Dylan Rattigan, we won’t watch Fast Money until he comes back.

I did not vote for Obama, but I am scared of what he is doing to the country. Reminds me of Hitler.
April 6th, 2009 at 11:05 am
Wow. I was wondering what happened. Fast Money SUCKS without Dylan. Melissa Lee is nice, but she is annoying as hell on that show and has no sense of humor which is what Dylan brings, along with hard hitting questions that get to the heart of the issue.
Diane, you clearly have no idea what is going on in the country calling Obama, Hitler…. I mean, seriously, get a friggin’ clue.
April 7th, 2009 at 7:07 pm
I WILL MISS HIS COMMENTARIES. The show isn’t even close to being as good. I will still watch and listen but the show is now shallow without Dylan.
PS I am a 2+ Years Satellite Listener.

Man I completely agree, Melissa really annoys me. She constantly tries to be cute on the show and she is not. She always enjoys anybody’s references to her -as she puts it- “fancy shmancy” Harvard school. Being proud is not wrong but put some effort in appearing humble at least. That girl also has an off-beat sense of humor. She laughs at things that are stupid and interrupts actually funny comments with serious conversation. as for Diane’s comment, where the hell did this come from?? the article is not on Obama? Obama reminds you of Hitler!!! How much acid are you on??? Really, have you seen Obama preaching for Aryan race superiority? or any for that matter??
April 9th, 2009 at 1:32 pm
Melissa for a Harvard grad seems like she would be nothing without her provided hard hititng questions and lack of creative questions of her own. I was happy to see she got the options action show, but Fast Money is Slow money without all the testosterone on the desk together.
Bring back Dylan Now! Hopefully Dylan will start a show on another network and bring over the good old Fast Money traders!
April 9th, 2009 at 9:43 pm
Breaking News for CNBC: Take care of your star personalities, or become an also ran in the business news sweepstakes. Bring Dylan back, and promote Susan the producer upstairs. He’s not the only key personality on the network, but without him some of the broadcast shows are noticably weaker. If Dylan shows up on a competing network, it may portend the changing of the guard in business news.

I’m very happy to see that Dylan Ratigan has been replaced. What an arrogant guy and he would never let the guests or other members of the team finish their statements without interrupting them. If he could have been a little less hyper, he may have been more effective but he was definitely wound up!!
April 11th, 2009 at 8:42 pm
Dylan was not replaced. He left during contract negotiations just like other TV celebs. The girl who is presently hosting fast money is definitely no replacement for the wit, energy, and intellect that Dylan provided. Now, the show is boooring.

RATIGAN WHO?……….GET THE MESSAGE
April 13th, 2009 at 9:44 pm
Please come back Dylan!! Can someone who knows Melissa please ask her NOT to interrupt Jeff Macke, the only reason that I am still watching the show, actually let him host.
April 13th, 2009 at 11:30 pm
From her periodic guest-hosting I new it wasn’t going to be good but now I rarely watch anymore. Just can hardly stand it. With DR hosting I rarely missed it. Oh well, another one (show) bites the dust. Too bad, it was a good show.
April 16th, 2009 at 9:57 pm
Dylan was getting a little too out there, with his tirades, on the corporate greed issues. However, the show needs him. Miss Harvard is doing ok but her laughing is lame at times. I miss Dylan. If he doesn’t come back I’ll still watch it. The commentary by the team is superb and honest. This show along with Cramer is a must see every night for me.
April 16th, 2009 at 11:36 pm
fast money isis othing but a stimulus package that will fall flat without dylan
April 21st, 2009 at 12:08 pm
Come on Krakower, patch it up with Dylan and bring him back. I can’t stand Melissa Lee. What were you thinking when you put her on?
April 21st, 2009 at 12:34 pm
We used to look forward to Fast Money each night and now no longer watch more than 10 minutes. Please bring Dylan back. Melissa is intelligent and informative but not right for this show. Dylan is the glue that binds the show together.
April 21st, 2009 at 4:04 pm
Everyone and anyone can be replaced…
April 21st, 2009 at 4:08 pm
Melissa Lee is fine, although I miss Dylan Ratigan’s wit and sense of humor.
Melissa Lee is trying hard to fill in the shoes Ratigan left.
April 22nd, 2009 at 11:01 am
BRING DYLAN BACK! What a terrible loss to the whole network. My days are not the same without him. As for Fast Money: When Eric left it was sad, now Dylan, if Jeff goes the show won’t be worth watching.
April 22nd, 2009 at 12:09 pm
It has become obvious that Flat Money has lost its entertaining energy source. I am now viewing Bloomberg’s Taking Stock as an alternative. Though slower paced, it provides enlightening guest interviews with informative discussions and analysis on market conditions.
April 22nd, 2009 at 1:49 pm
I miss Dylan also. He could be arrogant at times but asked the hard hitting questions that needed to be addressed. Mellisa can not control Jeff Macke who hogs the airtime repeatedly which Dylan could maintain and smoothly switch to a different guest or analyst. Come to some understanding and please bring him back.
April 22nd, 2009 at 3:07 pm
Dylan is a serious reporter. He was the most vocal about the financial debacle arguing furiously about more transparency, both from government and financials. I have come to appreciate reporter s that seek stories which affect our lives and guarantee that the public is informed of local and world affairs. I can only hope he will soon be back to work and doing a job which he does well and is vital to any democracy; reporting on current affairs. And yes I will miss him in Fast Money.
April 23rd, 2009 at 3:49 pm
CNBC is really blowing it if they don’t re-sign Dylan. As others have said he added life to the show and if Jeff Macke isn’t there I won’t watch it for 2 minutes. Melissa is not the answer and I cringe whenever she guest hosts anything. They can salvage the show if they have Erin Burnett host it but that is obviously one piece too many for her and something else would have to give. I also miss the interaction between Maria and Dylan; Bob Pisani needs to stay on the NYSE floor as he doesn’t have enough personality to host anything.
April 26th, 2009 at 2:48 am
He was easily the most watchable person on the network for the everyman. I need him to keep interest in fast money. ok show without him. Great show with him.
April 28th, 2009 at 11:10 pm
I have missed Dylan and would like to see him return. I enjoyed the banter between him and Jeff. The show is now flat without him and I rarely watch it anymore.
April 30th, 2009 at 8:47 pm
I don’t watch anymore. Show has totally lost it’s edge without Dylan.
May 2nd, 2009 at 7:41 am
I cant watch Fast Money anymore. Without Ratigan the show sucks!
Too bad some no talent producer had to get involved and start a catfight between them and ruin a engaging program.
G.E. is anybody listening out there!
Mellissa Lee is nice eye candy but out of her league.
May 4th, 2009 at 2:40 pm
I have nothing against Melissa as a host, but Dylan was more than just a basic host. He could really break down the conversation. If someone wasn’t clear on a point, he would stop them and clear up their points for the average viewer. No one on CNBC can clear up confusion the way he can. It’s certainly less of a show, but I still watch.
May 4th, 2009 at 9:22 pm
Tamara says anyone can be replaced.Barry Sanders walked away from the Lions 10 years ago. They have not been in the playoffs since.Fast Money is noe Boring Money.
May 7th, 2009 at 5:10 pm
Reports say Dylan is back, but on MSNBC. It will be interesting and I suspect entertaining to watch. The current schedule is planned for a morning show. Stay tuned. In the interim, in lieu of the now defunct fat money, I suggest everyone catch Bloombergs Taking Stock for various market insights, and of course there is always Cramer.
May 13th, 2009 at 2:30 am
I was getting tired of Dylan and find Melissa a breath of fresh air. Now it’s time for the Wolf to go.
May 13th, 2009 at 4:47 pm
Ratigan was the best person on CNBC. Bad loss.
May 19th, 2009 at 5:32 am
Dylan was the straw that stirred the show. Melissa can’t carry the show for an hour. I notice they have stopped the fist bump, which was Dylan’s signature. Bring Dylan back or suffer the loss, especially if he goes to another network. He and Maria were GREAT together. He also had the ability to control reporters when they started shouting over each other.
July 3rd, 2009 at 4:46 am
yeah bill from may 13, i like my market analysis like i like my relationships, bland and pointless. the wolf is gone and now i can barely make it through fast money.
not to say that the other traders have GE strings in their backs, but Dylan asked the straight forward questions while having a since of humour. kepts it legit on the political side
while you had macke keep it straight forward with a good amount of sarcasm to keep you interested.
say what you want people, but i bet as when ratigan left, the ratings slipped more, then when macke had to leave, they slipped even further. facts are facts. no arguements, just look at the ratings after ratigan and mackes departures.
