Dwyane Wade married his grade school sweetheart, Siohvaughn Funches. Wade and Funches married before he entered the NBA and became famous. They had two children. Dwyane Wade started divorce proceedings against Siohvaughn Funches in 2007. Dwyane Wade had not spoken about his marriage breaking down.

Dwayne Wade has sued his estranged wife for making claims he gave her STD through his alleged extramarital affair. Dwayne has asked for a minimum of $50,000 damages from each defendant.

Dwayne Wade is suing Siohvaughn Wade and two of her lawyers, Michael Berger and Dorene Marcus. Siohvaughn Wade alleged in January 2009 that Dwayne gave her STD. Siohvaughn Wade later withdrew that allegation.

Dwayne Wade said her claims defamed, embarrassed, humiliated and damaged him. Dwayne married Siohvaughn in 2002. They had 2 kids together.
