Drummer Steve Foley died
By Clarencia Cynrae on August 28th, 2008Steve Foley, the drummer for Replacements, died on August 23 in Minneapolis. Steve Foley was 49 when he died.
Steve Foley’s death was due to accidental overdose on prescription medication. Steve Foley had toured with Replacements until the band had its last show in July 4, 1991, in Chicago. After Replacements, Steve Foley and his brother Kevin Foley joined Stinson’s band, Bash & Pop. The latest news said he was working as a car salesman in Minneapolis.
Steve Foley’s body lies in Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapel, Edina, Minnesota. Burial for Steve Foley will be at Lakewood Cemetery. Funeral wake (Visitation) will be held on Friday, August 29, at 11 am at the said venue.
