Dr Trent Pierce, chairman of the Arkansas State Medical Board, was seriously injured when his car exploded. Dr Trent Pierce was going to drive to work when a car bomb exploded. Pierce was sent to hospital and his condition remains serious.

Pierce, on the medical board, supervises the medical practice in Arkansas, disciplines doctors and revokes medical licenses. Pierce has no known enemies. Authorities are investigating this bomb explosion.
