Dr Severino Antinori, of Italy, claimed he cloned 3 babies 9 years ago. Dr Antinori claimed the babies have grown up to be healthy children. Antinori claimed the cloned children are living in Eastern Europe. Dr Antinori did not provide proof.

Dr Antinori said he used a cell from a sterile man to fertilize the egg of a woman. Dr Antinori used the “nuclear transfer” method.

One fortnight ago, Dr Antinori, a leading gynaecologist, said he would try artificial impregnation of a woman whose husband is in a coma.
