Dr Richard Sharpe, in prison for life, committed sicide. Richard Sharpe was serving a life sentence for the fatal shooting of his wife, Karen Sharpe. Sharpe hanged himself in prison on Jan. 5. Sharpe’s cell mate fond him hanging from the top bed post when he returned to their cell.

Richard Sharpe killed his wife, Karen Sharpe, with a rifle in 2000. Karen Sharpe had left her husband months before her death. Sharpe was a dermatologist who sometimes did cross dressing. Sharpe made a millionaire fortune opening laser hair removal centers.

Sharpe was afraid a divorce would cash in on his $4 million assets so that was the alleged motive for killing Karen Sharpe. Sharpe shot Karen Sharpe in the presence of witnesses.
