When Plaxico Burress went to the New York-Cornell Hospital for treatment to his self-inflicted gunshot wound, the hospital staff helped him to conceal the deed. Dr. Josyann Abisaab, 44, is the doctor affiliated with New York-Cornell and she treated Plaxico Burress.

Dr. Josyann Abisaab is accused of signing off on the medical papers on Harris Smith, a phony name, even though she was fully aware who her patient was. Dr. Josyann Abisaab has been suspended. Dr. Abisaab, an emergency internist, knew that she had to report every gunshot wound to the police but she failed to do so. Dr. Josyann Abisaab has been suspended.
