Dr John Pryor: Pryor killed in Iraq (photo/video)

Dr John P Pryor, a trauma care surgeon, was in Iraq as a Major in the US Army Reserve Medical Corps. Dr Pryor was a battlefield surgeon. Pryor was killed by a mortar while he was checking in on his patients after Christmas Mass service. Dr Pryor, permanently attached at the University of Pennsylvania, left behind his wife and 3 children.
