Douglas Scott Collins has been accused of robbing his neighbor’s house in Grand Junction, Colorado. The neighbor was away. Deputies arrived and thought they saw Douglas Collins inside the minivan. After tracking tire marks in the snow, Sheriff deputies found his minivan and his wife, Alexis Collins, 27. The Collins lived about a mile away.

Alexis Collins had stashed away valuables like a sewing machine, camcorder and .22 caliber gun. Deputies found their minivan warm. Alexis Collins said she was sleeping but she had makeup on. Deputies contacted the owner to come verify his belongings. The owner said his items cost about $4,060. Douglas Collins was arrested and charged with first degree burglary, theft and criminal mischief. Alexis Collins was charged on suspicion of complicity to her husband’s offenses.
