Donte Stallworth: Stallworth sentenced for DUI manslaughter

After serving 30 days, Stallworth has to observe 2 years of house arrest and 8 years of probation. Stallworth has to undergo drug and alcohol testing. Stallworth’s driving licence has been suspended for life. After 5 years, he may apply for approval for limited driving. Stallworth has to give 1000 hours of community service.
Updated April 2: Donte Stallworth is expected to attend court Thursday, April 2. Stallworth will be charged with DUI manslaughter. Prosecutors will request his bail to be set at $200,000.
Updated on March 19: Several newspapers and TV sites reported Donte Stallworth was driving drunk when he fatally hit the pedestrian. Miami Beach Police Department refused to confirm the reports.(Source)

Donte Stallworth, a NFL wide receiver with Cleveland Browns, may be connected to the death of a pedestrian. Stallworth was involved in a fatal accident in which a pedestrian was killed. Stallworth has not been charged yet. Stallworth’s black Bentley was towed into a police parking lot on Saturday afternoon for investigation. The Bentley had bad front-end damage.
Stallworth was driving to Miami beach at 7 am when he hit the pedestrian, Mario Reyes, 59. The victim was sent to a trauma center, where he died about 1 hour later.
Stallworth is cooperating with police. Police took a blood sample from Stallworth to test for drugs and alcohol. Police have not released any information on whether Stallworth was impaired or if he had violated traffic laws. It was unknown if the victim was walking on the pavement or road at the time of the accident.
Donte Stallworth’s agent has not made any comment on this incident as he could not be reached.
The Cleveland Browns said it was a serious situation. The Browns could not comment while the investigation is on-going.
