Updated August 19 – Don Hewitt has died on Wednesday, August 19. Don Hewitt, 1922 – 2009, passed away at the age of 86.

Don Hewitt is ill with pancreatic cancer. Hewitt will be admitted into Sloan Kettering Hospital Friday March 20. Hewitt is the creator of CBS’ “60 Minutes”.

Don Hewitt is married to Marilyn Berger Hewitt. Berger Hewitt is a former writer for NYT.

There are no detailed news on Hewitt’s health. Let’s hope Don Hewitt will be in hospital to treat his cancer successfully. Hewitt’s photo is at the link.
