Dominic Cooper, an actor in Abba’s musical “Mamma Mia!”, fell for his co-star in “Mama Mia!” Cooper started dating Amanda Seyfried. Cooper’s former girlfriend, Joanna Carolan, split up with him, in Sept. 2008. Cooper,30, and Carolan,28, had been in a relationship for 12 years.

Cooper has been trying to make amends with Carolan with telephone calls. Joanna Carolan is the former personal assistant of the late playwright, Harold Pinter.

However, Cooper was seen in Jan 2008, kissing Amanda Seyfried at a café in Bath. Cooper reconciled briefly with Carolan but split again in September 2008. Again, it was because of Seyfried. Last week, Cooper and Seyfried were seen at Mahiki, a London nightclub.

Cooper’s friends said he refused to give up his childhood sweetheart Joanna Carolan. Carolan, has on the other hand, given up on Cooper. The press talked to Seyfried, who said she thought Cooper would end up being with Carolan. Seyfried said Cooper was her best friend and “I want nothing but the best for him.” Carolan was not having any of it. She said “We have had 12 glorious years together buy there is no going back.”

Joanna Carolan said she has a comedy act called “The Shirley and Shirley Show”. Carolan will be on stage at Lowdown at The Albany in London on Feb.12. Carolan revealed she still works for Harold Pinter’s estate.

Dominic Cooper’s spokesman said he would not comment on his personal life. Seyfried’s spokesperson also did not comment.
