Updated Aug 24 – Cristal Taylor was sentenced Monday, August 24. Taylor received a sentence of 5 years in prison. Taylor was sentenced for violating the terms of her parole.

Updated June 23 2009 – The FBI has become involved in the case of Crista Ann Taylor. Taylor wa said to have made phone calls from jail. Talor called Dirk Nowitzki’s lawyer. Talor allegedly made some threats and that was when the FBI became involved.

Jörg Nowitzki, Dirk Nowitzki’s father, told a German newspaper he encountered something almost like blackmail but he did not directly mention the source of the threats.

Dirk Nowitzki did not comment on Taylor but said he was going through a difficult time.

Taylor claimed to be pregnant. Nowitzki’s attorney was said to have requested for a paternity test. Nowitzki will assume responsibility for the child if he is the father.

Updated May 22 2009 – Christa Ann Taylor claimed she is now pregnant. Taylor said she is Dirk Nowitzki’s fiancee and is carrying his baby. Nowitzki’s lawyer (Robert Hart) said he doubted Taylor’s claim. If true, Nowitzki would ensure the well being of his child.

Christa Ann Taylor has a court-appointed lawyer, Don Duesler. Mr Duesler refused to comment on the pregnancy issue. Robert Hart said Taylor did not get a pregnancy test in her prison medical tests.

Updated May 18 – Cristal Ann Taylor told her judge she had no money to hire her own lawyer. Taylor was in trouble over a $10,000 debt to a dentist who did dental work on her. Taylor clarified that her birth name is Crista Ann Taylor.

May 6 2009 – Cristal Taylor, 37, had several warrants of arrest. Police found Taylor and arrested her at the home of Dirk Nowitzki, a basketball player for Dallas Mavericks.

Cristal Taylor was suspected of using several aliases. Police refused to comment on the nature of Taylor and Nowitzki’s relationship. Other sources said Taylor is Nowitzki’s girlfriend. Cristal Taylor (photo at link) was arrested on Wed., May 6.
