A car that refused to obey a police order to stop crashed into a truck. The car was the object of pursuit by a Dinuba police squad car. The driver incurred a traffic infraction and refused to stop. The accident happened on Saturday afternoon, August 8.

There were two adults and five children in a pickup truck. Four kids were ejected from their truck and died on the spot. The two adults and one child who survived were sent to hospital.

The car that was being chased by the police had three occupants who all died.

In total, seven lives were lost.
