Derrick Thomas death: Derrick Thomas accident
By Therese Lisieux on August 9th, 2009Derrick Thomas had a vehicle accident on January 23rd, 2000. Derrick Thomas was driving in a dangerous manner. Reports said Thomas weaved and sped through traffic. Thomas was driving a SUV and he was not wearing hi seat belt.
Thomas had two other passengers. One was wearing a seat belt while another passenger wasn’t. The SUV went off the road. Thomas and the passenger who were unbuckled were thrown out of the SUV. The passenger who had a seat belt buckled was able to walk away.
Derrick Thomas became paralyzed after his SUV accident. Thomas died on February 8, 2000. Thomas’ cause of death was pulmonary embolism. Thomas had a large blood clot in the lower half of his body. The clot traveled to his lungs.
