Dena Riley: Riley sentenced for Marsha Spicer & Michelle Huff-Ricci’s deaths (photos)
By Clarencia Cynrae on December 22nd, 2008Dena Riley, 42, pleaded guilty to the first degree murder of Marsha Spicer. Marsha Spicer was suffocated during sex. Dena Riley, of Kansas City, had a plea deal to avoid the death penalty for first degree murder. Dena Riley admitted guilt to kidnapping, sodomy and sex abuse on Marsha Spicer.
Marsha Spicer, 41, of Independence, suffered sexual abuse and was videotaped by Dena Riley.
Dena Riley has also pleaded guilty to charges of kidnapping, sodomy, sex abuse and assault on another victim, Michelle Huff-Ricci, 36, of Kansas City. Riley’s attack on Huff-Ricci was also videotaped. Huff-Ricci died. The remains of Huff-Ricci were discovered in Clay County. Dena Riley and her boyfriend, Richard Davis, are charged with capital murder of Michelle Huff-Ricci in Clay County.
Dena Riley was sentenced to life in prison without parole. Riley had 8 additional life sentences and 239 years in prison for 25 other offences. Dena Riley agreed to plead guilty in a cgarge of kidnapping a girl related to her boyfriend Richard Davis. Riley kidnapped the girl after running away from Kansas City in May 2006. This girl suffered injuries that indicated sexual abuse. Richard Davis is also charged with the girl’s kidnapping and abuse.
Richard Davis was convicted and sentenced to death for Marsha Spicer’s death. The jury watched videotapes on Marsha Spicer and Michelle Huff-Ricci.
