DeeAnn Angell of Fossil and Kay Rene Reed of Condon were born in 1953. The babies were mistakenly switched at birth and given to different mothers. Marjorie Angell insisted back in 1953 that she was given the wrong baby after nurses returned the infant after bathing her. Mrs Angell’s concerns that her baby was switched were ignored by the nurses who seemed certain there was no mix up.

A woman friend who knew both Angell and Reed got in touch with Kay Reed’s brother, Bobby Reed, to tell him her suspicions that Kay and DeeAnn were switched at birth. Their story and photo are here.
