Sex offender, Debra LaFave, will be having updates on her state. Debra Lafave is accused of talking to a minor when she isn’t supposed to be communicating to young people. Lafave is a convicted sex offender and one of the laws governing sex offenders involves not being in the company or associating with minors in any way. Debra LaFave was not sentenced to prison but ordered to be under house arrest.

Two years ago, LaFave was convicted of having sex with a boy, 14 years old. LaFave was a school teacher then.

The girl, 17, who talked with LaFave, has a lawyer. The girl supported LaFave and said nothing inappropriate was discussed. This teen has turned 18 recently after her communication with LaFave was discovered. LaFave faces a maximum of 30 years in prison for violating the terms of her house arrest.

The probation officer is taking tabs on LaFave and the 48 conditions on her house arrest. LaFave has 10 years of community service and house arrest to serve.
