Pollsters analyzed that vital independent voters have shifted to Obama. Sen. Barack Obama is up by 6-7 points. The winds of change were the Republican Convention, bad economic news, and McCain’s reactions to the economy.

McCain wanted to show he placed country first before his presidential campaign as he suspended his campaign to deal with the economy. McCain had called for the debate but he wanted to postpone it. These reactions were not well received by people. Sarah Palin could not convince people that she had the background knowledge to lead. Palin’s good ratings went down and her unfavorable ratings rose. The presidents debate on Friday night, September 26, had more people thinking Obama offered better ideas to solve the country’s troubles. McCain has been criticized as appearing too angry in the second half of the debate.

Both Democrats and Republicans claimed credit for the Bailout Bill being drafted. Obama said his proposed changes were taken into consideration. However, the debate polls and the results of the debate polls say this Presidential Election Race will be a very close race.
