Ronald Tri Tran, 33, and Noel Jesse Plata, 33, were sentenced to death in Orange County, Santa Ana, california. Ronald Tri Tran and Noel Jesse Plata, were convicted of killing Linda Park, of Irvine, in 1995.

Ronald Tri Tran and Noel Jesse Plata were arrested in 2001 when police matched their DNA to DNA found at the crime scene of Linda Park. Ronald Tri Tran apologized to Linda Park’s family and his family. Linda Park was tied, slashed, beaten and robbed of her family’s cash and jewelry. Ronald Tri Tran and Noel Jesse Plata then strangled Linda Park to prevent her from identifying them.

Noel Jesse Plata was caught earlier for killing a man in Garden Grove around 1995-96. He was already imprisoned when he was charged with Linda Park’s murder.
