Dean Martin, the Arizona Treasurer, said his wife, Kerry Martin, has died. Kerry Martin died after childbirth and their son, Austin Michael Martin, is ill. Kerry Martin died on Monday night, May 25. Mrs Martin gave birth to her firstborn at about 7:31 pm and died a few hours later.

Dean Martin has remained in hospital to see his baby son, who is in grave condition.

Dean and Kerry Martin were married for 13 years. Mr Martin became Arizona’s State treasurer in 2006. Martin was a former Republican state senator.
