De’Shon Sanders, Texas Tech reserve defensive back, has been arrested. De’Shon Sanders was arrested on Thur., Dec. 4. Sanders was charged with dealing cocaine. DEA (US Drug Enforcement Administration) arrested Sanders in Lubbock, at 1:30 am. De’Shon Sanders has been charged with conspiracy and felony possession with intent to distribute more than 50 g of cocaine.

The crime for which De’Shon Sanders was arrested was committed in Lea County, N.M., between June 6 – 7, 2008. The charges alleged that De’Shon Sanders conspired with others to distribute cocaine. De’Shon Sanders was booked into the Lubbock County Jail but he has been transferred to an undisclosed location.

De’Shon Sanders faces a minimum of 10 years in prison if he is convicted on those charges. The authorities are still investigating.
