Updated on April 18 2009 – Dawne Wilson was arrested outside Tyler Perry’s studios in Atlanta, Georgia. Wilson has been to Perry’s studios many times in the past. Wilson said she was a big Tyler Perry fan. Perry had a restraining order against Wilson and this broke the last straw on the camel’s back. Perry claimed Wilson was a stalker.

When Wilson showed up outside Perry’s studios Wednesday, He called the cops on her. Wilson was arrested for felony aggravated stalking. Dawne Wilson has been detained in custody.

Tyler Perry is the first African American to start his own major TV and movie studio on Sat. Oct. 4. There was a big bash at the opening of “Tyler Perry Studios.” Celebrity guests at Tyler Perry Studios’ opening included Will Smith, Sidney Poitier, Oprah Winfrey, Forest Whitaker, Hank Aaron and Whitney Houston. Mary J Blige sang her R & B songs at the opening ceremony at southwest Atlanta, Georgia. Tyler Perry had an old studio near a downtown location but the neighbors complained of noise.

Will Smith talked to an interviewer. He said first, Barack Obama and then Tyler Perry, who have established firsts for African Americans. Will Smith’s interview was at Tyler Perry’s opening here.

Dawne Wilson was accused of contacting Tyler Perry via computer. Wilson’s message was threatening enough for Perry to fear for his safety. Wilson allegedly emailed Perry with this message – “You need to check your heart condition because it is filled with murder….your love has been but costly and deadly….Murder I say is the verdict.”
