Dawn Smith is fighting brain tumor and CIGNA. Dawn Smith, of Atlanta, has a brain tumor. Smith has a rare form of brain tumor but her condition is treatable. Smith is insured with CIGNA, who refuses to pay for her treatment because the designated hospitals are out of the CIGNA network. Other hospitals signed on with CIGNA are not qualified to treat Smith’s condition.

Dawn Smith now stays with her Mom, who helps to care for her. Smith experiences brain seizures and pain. The biggest pain is that all her brain tumor problems can be cured by treatment.

Smith said CIGNA refused to pay for her treatments and gave reasons for their objections. Smith is frustrated that CIGNA accepted her premiums but when she needed their help, they have refused her pleas.

Smith’s story isn’t unique. Millions of Americans have difficulties getting insurers to pay for treatment because of their imposed conditions.

    I fairly certain this is fake. Google Dawn Smith and you will find nothing to support this. For all the good causes Moveon.org supports, spreading lies accross the interwebs on;y helps the BUSHlicans in their agenda. Remeber, until we have CREDIBAL complaints against Bush and Obama (becasue he is just as bad) they will always call us teh “angry left”.
