David Tarloff, 40, was charged with killing Kathryn Faughey, 56, on Feb. 12. Dr Kent Shinbach, who shared the same office premises as Faughey, was Tarloff’s therapist. When Dr. Kent Shinbach went to the aid of Kathryn Faughey, David Tarloff attacked him. Tarloff was charged with the murder of Kathryn Faughey and the attempted murder of Dr Kent Shinbach.

Prosecutors have agreed with the psychiatrist’s report that David Tarloff is not mentally competent to stand trial. Tarloff supposedly had a history of mental illness. David Tarloff would be detained in state custody and warded in a mental institution to be detained indefinitely.
