David Lee Onstott, accused of killing Sarah Lunde, 13, had a conversation with his mother. David Lee Onstott allegedly whispered “I killed her” to his mother.

The trial begins and jurors will hear the tape on David Lee Onstott’s confession.

Sarah Lunde’s body was found a week after she went missing, in an abandoned fish pond near her home in Ruskin, south Tampa. Sarah Lunde’s body was found on April 16, 2005.

David Lee Onstott had actually gone to Sarah Lunde’s house because he was dating her mother. There wa sno real physical evidence to point that Onstott was a suspect in Sarah Lunde’s death.

David Lee Onstott, 40, was charged with attempted sexual battery and first-degree murder in the death of Sarah Lunde, 13, in 2005.
