David Hyde Pierce disclosed that he married his partner Brian Hargrove on Oct 24 2008. Pierce, the winner of an Emmy Award and Tony Award, said he is married to Brian Hargrove, a TV producer. Pierce and Hargrove were married before California passed Prop-8 to ban gay marriage.

Gay marriages solemnized before the law on Proposition 8 are recognized. Pierce said he was angry over the court’s decision to ban gay marriages.

Pierce and Hargrove had been a couple for the past 25 years. Hargrove and Pierce only came out to make the announcement in 2007.
