David Foster Wallace, 46, committed suicide by hanging. David Foster Wallace was discovered dead by his wife, Karen Green, at 9:30 pm, Friday night, September 12.

David Foster Wallace was born in Ithaca, New York. Wallace taught writing at Pomona College. Wallace wrote “Infinite Jest”, “Girl with Curious Hair” and “Brief Interviews with Hideous Men” etc. There is no other information/speculation on why David Foster Wallace hanged himself.

David Foster Wallace leaves behind his wife, Karen Green, his parents, and his sister. Pomona College will hold a memorial service in honor of David Foster Wallace. Details will be publicized later.
