David Duchovny sues Daily Mail: Duchovny & Edit Pakay never romantic

By Therese Lisieux on October 23rd, 2008

David Duchovny has filed a lawsuit to sue the UK’s London Daily Mail. The Daily Mail published a story on Oct 18 that rocked the internet. Daily Mail claimed that it did an interview with Edit Pakay, Duchovny’s one time tennis coach. The article read that Edit Pakay had an affair with David Duchovny.

The story was made to read that Edit Pakay had spoken in an interview to discuss about an affair with Duchvny. The post implied that Pakay was waiting for further developments in that relationship. The Daily Mail article even quoted sources like Pakay’s friend, who remained anonymous in the publication.

Now, Duchovny’s lawyer, Stanton “Larry” Stein, told E! that Pakay had signed a sworn declaration that David Duchovny and herself do not have any romantic feelings. Duchovny is asking for at least $1 Million in damages from Daily Mail.

Edit Pakay is rather weather beaten in appearance due to the ravages of the sun. Tea Leoni and Edit Pakay look like two worlds apart. It was astonishing that Edit Pakay was named as a romantic interest.

The Daily Mail has deleted its original article that has become the subject of the lawsuit.
