Dave Laut, a former Olympic shot put thrower, was killed just outside his home. Dave Laut and his wife, Mrs Laut heard noises in their backyard. When Laut went to investigate, he was shot at several times.

Dave Laut, 54, was killed around midnight on Thursday, August 27.

Dave Laut was an Olympic bronze medalist in the 1984 Olympics.
