Danielle Black convicted for Billy Lee Black death

Updated July 16 – Danielle Black, 16, has been convicted. Black was found guilty of soliciting a killer for murdering her father, Billie Lee Black, 47. Black tried to defend herself by saying she only wanted her Dad threatened in a beating. Black claimed she suffered abuse from her father. Black’s claims could not be verified.

The jury decided to convict Danielle Black. Black will be sentenced later and she faces a maximum of life in prison.

Danielle Black & Alec Eger charged with murdering Billy Lee Black.

Danielle Black, 15, is charged with first degree murder, or soliciting a first degree murder. Ms Black allegedly asked a boy on her school bus to kill her father, Billy Lee Black. Ms Black is a sophomore in South Hagerstown High School. Black has been charged as an adult in soliciting a first degree murder.

Billy Lee Black was fatally stabbed to death in an alley behind his rented home last Halloween 2008. Alec Eger, 20, the student on the school bus, confessed he stabbed Black. Eger said he did it in self-defense.

Danielle Black had allegedly told her friends she wanted her father dead. Ms Black told friends she was abused by her father. Investigators are trying to establish this. Mrs Andrea Black, the widow, denied the claims of abuse. Mrs Black said she did not know why Danielle failed to get along with her father. Danielle’s parents divorced when she was 2 years old. Billy Lee Black remarried in 2007. Andrea Black is the second wife and stepmother to Danielle.

Danielle Black denied asking friends or Alec Eger to kill her father. Ms Black said she only wanted him threatened or roughed up.

The judge has ordered that Danielle Black should be tried as an adult for the solicited first degree murder of her father.
