Daniel Black, of Lake Barrington, 16, was killed. Daniel Black, also known as Danny Black, was a student in Barrington High School. Black was 16 years old. Daniel Black Jr was suspected to have committed suicide when he was run over by a Metra train, north of Hart Road, in Cuba Township.

Daniel Black went in front of the Metra train. The train driver hit the emergency brakes but Black did not move away. Black had parked his jeep nearby. Officers found a suicide note in Daniel Black’s jeep.
