Dancing with the Stars Cristian de la Fuente and his partner Cheryl Burke, was on live competition when he pulled a muscle in his fore arm. It was serious.

Cristian de la Fuente was rushed to hospital in an ambulance. The judges judged the couple based on their performance until the point of his injury. They got 21/30, the lowest score for that dance on that night.

Cheryl Burke said that while they were dancing, she fell back into his arms in the routine and she heard something crack. She was worried about him. The Emergency Medical Team (EMT) checked his arm and said there could be severe muscle cramp.

There was no news on his condition and if he would be able to continue Dancing with the Stars. He had some treatment in hospital but went home after that.

Update on April 29:

Cristian has an appointment with his specialist. He might need surgery for his arm. The producers of Dancing with the Stars would meet at CBS to discuss his status in the show. It seemed he was unlikely to continue for the rest of this season.

The other contestants went out after the show’s taping. Cheryl Burke, Karina Smirnoff and Mario all went out for their usual Monday afterparty at Villa. There was no news on whether they visited or did any followup on Cristian de la Fuente.

Cristian de la Fuente might not be on Tuesday night’s Dancing with the Stars. He’s hospitalized. The producers were interested to shoot a video at his hospital bed. Cristian was still waiting for the results of his MRI scan on his arm. Its now 1 hour before the show. Cheryl Burke was seen in the studio, without any dance partner.

Cristian de la Fuente showed up on the set of Dancing with the Stars. His arm is in a cast. He and Cheryl look sad. May be they can’t dance anymore.

Cristian tried to persuade the judges by saying that if he was voted into the next round, he would power through his injury. He has a ruptured tendon in his left arm. His doctor said he could delay the surgery. He compared his injury to Marlee Matlin’s deafness.
