Dana Stubblefield: Stubblefield sentenced for steriod lies

Dana Stubblefield, a former player for San Francisco 49er and Oakland Raider, was fined $5000 and put on probation for 2 years on Friday, Feb 6.

Stubblefield was sentenced for telling lies to a federal agent about his steroid use. Stubblefield received a slap on the wrist because he cooperated in an investigation on the use of drugs in football.

Stubblefield made false claims to an IRS agent in November 2003. A few days later, NFL drug tests showed Stubblefield had taken steroids.

Stubblefield is presently an assistant football coach at Valley Christian High School in San Jose, California.
