Dan Marino Sr died. Dan Marino was the father of Dan Marino, the footballer inducted into the Hall of fame. Dan Marino Sr passed away at home in Florida. Marino Sr had fought cancer before his death. Marino Sr was credited for teaching his son to work hard in order to succeed. Marino Sr taught his son how to play football as he was a sandlot football coach.

Dan Marino Sr had lived in Pittsburgh before moving to Florida. Funeral arrangements are pending. It was known that Marino Sr will be buried in Pittsburgh.
