Damon Weaver, 10, a kid reporter, has impressed Albany State University so much that he was offered a scholarship. ASU will officially present Damon Weaver his scholarship in June, at an alumni convention in Miami.

Damon Weaver, of Pahokee, is in the fifth grade now but he looks forward to using his scholarship in good time. Weaver has interviewed Joe Biden and done a lot of groundwork for his school’s news desk.

With a scholarship under his belt, Weaver has a new ambition now. Weaver wants to get an interview with President Barack Obama.
