Da Brat, a female rapper, was sentenced to 3 years jail. Da Brat was convicted and sentenced for attacking a woman with a glass bottle. The woman victim had permanent facial damage. The fight with a ruk bottle was in Studio 72, in Atlanta, Georgia, at a nightclub.

Da Brat, real name Shawntae Harris, has additional 7 years probation and 200 hours of community service to perform. Shawntae Harris’ family attended her court sentencing. The Harris family cried as she was led away. Shawntae Harris and her family exchanged some words of love before she was totally led away. Shawntae Harris, Da Brat, had pleaded guilty to aggravated assault. Her victim was a waitress at Studio 72. Da Brat and the waitress had a dispute.

In 2000, Shawntae Harris/ Da Brat had a quarrel with a woman about VIP seating arrangements. Shawntae Harris used a gun to beat a woman. The victim had 6 stitches but did not go to trial. Shawntae Harris was fined $1000 and had to do 80 hours of community service.
