Cynthia Roberson, 51, unemployed, has been accused of running a youth gang of robbers. Roberson may have committed more than 20 robberies in May 2009. Roberson was motivated by her dire financial straits. The crimes were committed in various locations in Phoenix, and stretching across the state to Glendale.

Cynthia Roberson told police she was the getaway driver. Roberson tried to say that the others were to blame for the crimes.

Investigators begged to differ. They said Roberson was a gang leader. Roberson has multiple charges for her role in the robberies. Roberson’s two sons, aged 12 and 14, were part of the gang. Five other people from the ages of 14 – 20 were also arrested.
