Curtis Sliwa is the name of a radio DJ and the name of the founder of Guardian Angels, a street vigilante group. Sliwa, 55, devoted 30 years of his life touring the NYC subways. Sliwa counts his radio DJ work as his second career. Sliwa is a DJ at WABC-AM (770).

Sliwa leaves WABC (770 AM) on Monday, November 30. John Batchelor will take over his 9 pm to 1 am show on weekday nights.

Sliwa said his son Anthony, 5, is also a train enthusiast like him. Sliwa takes Anthony out on Sunday, to watch the trains, and baseball.

Why Does Curtis Sliwa leave WABC-AM 770 AM? Sliwa said the station and himself could not agree on some terms to extend his contract.
