Courtenay Semel, daughter of Yahoo founder Terry Semel, was said to have checked into rehab. Courtenay’s friend told Page Six that the Semel family decided to give her one last gift. The gift was supposedly the payment for rehab.

James Vituscka, Semel’s representative, has confirmed that Courtenay has indeed, checked into rehab. Other sources who know Courtenay said she was doing it for herself and her family. Rehab might be cleaning the slate and getting the chance to start afresh

Courtenay Semel (photo at link) said she was cut off from her family after she had a confrontation with a security guard at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

In February, Semel and her girlfriend, Casey Johnson, had an encounter where Semel allegedly set Johnson’s hair ablaze.
