William Calderon and Corey Lynch were drinking and horsing around with their guns when Lynch’s loaded gun accidentally fired at their friend, Landon Siela, 21. Siela was fatally wounded in his throat and declared dead at the hospital upon arrival. It was a tragedy that never should have happened.

William Calderon and Corey Lynch are both 22 and students at Purdue University.

Calderon and Lynch had invited Siela to join them in their apartment on Saturday night, Aug 22. Calderon and Lynch had been drinking and playing with their guns. When Siela arrived, they pointed their weapons at him. Lynch’s gun was loaded and it went off, hitting Siela.

Both Lynch and Calderon were arrested. Lynch was charged with felony reckless homicide and pointing a loaded weapon. Calderon was charged with pointing an unloaded weapon.
