Cop who beat Pablo Gilberto Valenzuela resigns

Pablo Gilberto Valenzuela, 42, was supposedly beaten by a police officer from West Palm Beach on May 26 2008. Pablo Gilberto Valenzuela was a suspect who resisted arrest. He tried to use pepper spray on the officers, biting one of them on his leg, and spat at another officer.

He was arrested on several charges, which included battery on a police officer and resisting arrest. After Pablo Gilberto Valenzuela was handcuffed, a police man punched and kicked him. The assault was taped by a camera mounted on the dashboard of a police car. This police officer has quit the force. Two other police officers on the same beat are on leave. Pablo Gilberto Valenzuela suffered bruised eyes and a broken jaw. The incident is being investigated.
