Colby Curtin, 10, was dying of vascular cancer. Curtin was not ready to go until she watched the Disney-Pixar movie, “Up”. Curtin was too ill to go outside to a movie theater. Her family friend contacted Pixar, who sent an employee to Curtin’s home.

The worker brought a DVD of Up, some movie memorabilia and stayed until the private screening of Up was over. After the movie ended, the worker took away the DVD because the movie was not released on DVD.

Colby Curtin was too sick to open her eyes to watch Up but her mother Lisa described the scenes to her. Colby died later that night.
