Persley won the $39 million SuperLotto Plus lottery. Persley gets $16 million in 4 – 6 weeks’ time. That is the amount Persley will receive after taxes.
Clyde Persley plans to hire financial advisers on how to use and invest his money. Persley plans to reward his wife with a vacation to Hawaii. Persley bought his winning ticket from his local Santa Cruz Market. The owner of the store, Bankook Cho, told Persley the store sold the ticket that won. Persley and his wife, Pauline Persley, checked the lottery number together.
Persley worked 3 jobs for the previous 6 years to support his family. Persley has a young, 4 year old daughter. Persley worked full time for Santa Cruz Nutritionals, was a part time limousine driver and on-call worker at El Palomar restaurant.
Persley said he will miss working but wants to live a stress free life.
What will Clyde Persley do with $16 million? Persley has some initial ideas on how he would like to spend the rest of his life, with a fund for his daughter, helping his mother and father-in-law financially and to travel.
