Clovis Asong, 14, from the UK, may become the world’s fastest runner. Asong ran 400 meters in 48.86 seconds. Asong was faster than the previous record by 1 second. The previous record was 47.86 seconds. Usain Bolt’s record for 400 m was 48.28 seconds, which was 0.58 seconds faster than Asong’s present time. Asong shows potential to challenge Usain Bolt. For now, Usain Bolt is faster than Clovis Asong but Asong might catch up with him.
