On Tuesday, Oct 7, Malarchuk had set his .22 calibre rifle on its butt in between his legs. Suddenly, the rifle fired. Mrs Christy Malarchuk spoke to the police about this. Malarchuk received treatment in a hospital in Reno, Nev.
