Andre Iguodala, a basketball player, has been sued for child support. Iguodala plays for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Iguodala’s former girlfriend, Clayanna Warthen, 23, of Clementon, South Jersey, had split with him in Jan 2009. Their daughter, London Iguodala was born on May 7. Clayanna Warthen is asking for child support of $12 – 15 K monthly.

Iguodala’s lawyer said they tried to resolve the issue without going to the courts but the demands were “beyond what is reasonable”. Iguodala’s public statement expressed his happiness on the birth of his daughter. Iguodala assured he would accept responsibility and provide for her.

Iguodala’s first born was a son named Andre Tyler Iguodala II, who was born in March 2007. The boy’s mother, Christine, was Iguodala’s girlfriend at that time.
